Theresa Sim has been living on St. John for 15 years now. She is one of the full-time Real Estate Brokers at Tropical Properties. She came to visit back in 2008 and has since then made St. John her home. Her journey started at Maho Bay Campgrounds, an Eco-Resort that was nestled in the US Virgin Islands National Park. During her years here, she has obtained her Virgin Islands Real Estate Agent and Brokers license, 100-ton Captain License, and founded a handful of small businesses ranging from cleaning/maintenance services to gift baskets/retail sales which ultimately lead to the foundation of a property management company, Azure Vacation Homes. She has volunteered at St. John Rescue, a volunteer search and rescue organization, as a board member, EMR/First Responder and HAM radio operator. Her goal is to upgrade to an EMT. Theresa is also a board member with the St. John Board of Realtors. In her free time you can find her hiking and swimming with her dogs Amelio and Deojee, her rescue pups from the St. Thomas Humane Society where she helps find fosters and chaperones for dogs on the high-risk list at the humane society. 

 

Theresa truly loves her job and finds no greater fulfilment than helping her clients find their forever home on St. John, or helping current owners transition their property to the next excited owner. Her duty doesn’t stop with the sale of a property. As the owner of Azure Vacation Homes, she also helps her clients with the management of their homes whether it be a short/long term rental or private/second home.
